X. Lighting the torch. Ching. Chi. Shen. Ching means essence. The essence of a torch is the oil of its tallow, the intrinsic substance which gives it fuel to burn. Chi means energy. The energy of a torch is its fire, lit in the awakened power of its essence. Shen means spirit. The spirit of a torch is the light of its fire, glowing with the vitality of its energy. Nei Kung cultivates continuous replenishment of ching, chi and shen. One who practices Nei Kung is abundantly strong, alive and aware. We must become what we want to attract.
