VIII. Nei Kung revitalizes sexual energy.
As Nei Kung rebuilds the body it conditions and balances what the Taoist’s refer to as the Seven Glands. These glands are listed as the pineal, pituitary, thyroid, thymus, pancreas, adrenal and sexual. In the West, these structures and the complex interactions of hormonal exchange between them within the vital functions are collectively known as the endocrine system.
From the very first posture of Nei Kung, as the chi begins to flow with increasing force, the individual experiences a stimulation of the endocrine system reflected in a rising of body temperature, flushing, perspiration and involuntary shaking. Though these reactions will vary in nature and degree among different people, they all indicate intricate renewal and rebalancing underway internally.
As training progresses and the endocrine system is robustly invigorated, so too are the sex glands. Some individuals experience this revitalization immediately, others, according to Nature’s pace and plan, after more pressing bodily needs have been addressed. This sexual effect is one of the wonderful additional benefits of the vibrant health promoted by Nei Kung.
